The Asian Festival celebrates National Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and takes place this year on May 14th. It's the largest celebration of Asian culture in Texas, attracting over 15,000 visitors a year. It offers an unforgettable experience with the opportunity for you to sample the many Asian American cultures that are a part of Dallas. It's a colorful and festive event that unites Dallas's Asian cultures. There's even a children's area, Passport to Asia for Kids, providing numerous activities to entertain and educate children.


There's also the Diwali Festival, which attracts thousands of visitors every year. It's an enchanting festival uniquely celebrated in Dallas. Famous for its Festival of Lights, the Diwali Festival features fireworks and evenings spent exchanging sweets and Diwali Gifts.

The 6th Annual Asian Film Festival, on August 23-30th is the Southwest's largest showcase of film and video, offers you an opportunity to see new works from Asian American filmmakers and offers a rare opportunity to meet with many of them and discuss their work.

Dallas has numerous movie theatres, live theatres in Deep Ellum and the West End, two of Dallas' premier entertainment and dining districts. Other areas you shouldn't miss visiting are Uptown, Knox-Henderson, Greenville Avenue and Mockingbird Station.


And if you want to relax or explore the great outdoors, visit any of Dallas' 406 City Parks including White Rock Lake Park and  Fair Park.

You can experience any of our many family entertainment options, like Hurricane Harbor, a water park wonderland. At Medieval Times, you'll step back in time as you dine and watch jousts, sword fights and medieval pageantry. And no trip to Dallas would be complete without a visit to Six Flags Over Texas, where you can experience some of the greatest thrill rides in the United States.

Or spend an afternoon visiting the Dallas Zoo, Which includes the 25-acre Wilds of Africa, named the best African exhibit in the United States.


Relax and commune with nature at the Dallas Arboretum, one of the most magnificent botanic gardens in the nation. The fragrant gardens and lush lawns allow you to enjoy a quiet intimacy with nature.
